Ragin’ Canadian Al Clark of chilly Toronto has nabbed us for more than a nitpick–he’s found a bona fide mistake in The Rock Snob*s Dictionary! In our entry for the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, we say they “scored a U.K. Top 10 hit with the Paul McCartney-written song ‘I’m the Urban Spaceman.’”

As Al points out, the song was actually written by Bonzo member and future Rutles mastermind (with Eric Idle) Neil Innes. Al notes that “Paul McCartney produced the song under the ‘Apollo C. Vermouth’ pseudonym.”

Excellent Snobwork, Al! Here, as a reward, is a link to a clip of the Bonzos performing the song in question. Especially pedantic Snobs will note the presence of Viv Stanshall on recorder.
