A fellow by the name of Andrew Loog Oldham writes from Bogota, Colombia, “On noting Jack Nitzsche [p. 84], it’s shame you could not note Jack as having played on ‘Satisfaction,’ ‘Let's Spend the Night Together,’ and ‘Play with Fire.’ Your note is a tad misleading on him, for, in fact, he was Spector’s famed arranger first, then kindly stepped back into the keyboard ranks for myself and the Stones, providing the glue that binded the tracks; on ‘Satisfaction,’ you may not hear him, but you’d damn well miss him if he wasn’t there.” Points taken, Andrew! Mr. Oldham also adds, citing the reference to the “baroque-pop Jagger-Richards song ‘As Tears Go By’” in the Marianne Faithfull entry [p. 39], “I am an accredited writer on ‘As Tears Go By.’” So noted.
